Are you completely satisfied with your NLE software? If you could take the best of the programs you are familiar with and merge them into one, what would those features be? Which are the must-haves and which are the nice to haves? Are there features or simple UI enhancements that none of them have?

DVFilm has an internal program we call Rembrandt, that we use for our post production services. We are considering productizing it and making it available to the public.

Here's your chance to help determine the product features or work-flow of a brand new program that will help you edit your films in a unique and more productive way. We are eager to hear from the front-lines so please provide your 2¢. What would it take for you to consider a different work-flow solution than the one you are using?
 
I cut and grade with Vegas. Love the app, and it does most of what I need. What I would like to add:

1. Support for up to 5k resolution (Epic, Red One, Scarlet)
2. Support for ingesting 10 bit codecs
3. Professional level color grading that can work in 10-bit space
4. Ability to leverage a GPU if one is available.
5. Native integration with Red Raw, XDCam EX, DVCProHD
6. Ability to export Flash files, especially h.264 Flash
7. Ability to see the render output location while rendering.
8. Background rendering

Thanks for that list PerroneFord. This webpage at dvfilm.com describes some of what the Rembrandt system is capable of today. Rembrandt can take a movie, and automatically detect the scenes. The user can quickly scrub through the scenes or each individual frame and do color correction on them. We hope that with the new Rembrandt we'll be able to make the post-production work-flow easier and faster than anything out there today.
