Ninja 2 input cable build suggestions

I am going to run my Ninja 2 with a Sony A6000 and would like to feed audio chan 1 & 2 on the ninja with my two sennheiser kits.
My understanding from web reading and the manual is hdmi will carry the audio from the camera's mic and the 3.5mm in jack gives me tw more channels analog. So when building the cable, using 3.5mm on the Sennheiser end, I would assume its a balanced connection since it normally goes to and end with an xlr on it. If I am to build a Y cable to the input of the Ninja 2 what would be the suggested wiring for that ?
Appreciate any advice, I think I just share the shield and tip to chan 1 and ring to chan 2 but am not sure and would rather just build this once. If anyone knows of a prebuilt cable I would happily buy it!
Cheers

From the JW sound group.

From an xlr output to a female XLR. Pin 2 is positive, connect the shield/ground to pins 1 & 3. At the 3.5 mm male plug connect the positive to the tip, the shield/ground to the ground in the 3.5mm plug. It will be an unbalanced connection but don't worry it works.

P.S. Easy way to connect the shield/ground to pins 1 & 3 in the XLR. Fan out the shield and make two twisted tails, tin them and then solder one tail to pin 1 and the other to pin 3. It will look like a "Y" connector. A lot easier than trying to solder in a jumper from pin 1 to pin 3 or 3 to 1.
P.P.S. for a line level input connect the positive to the ring of the 3.5mm TRS plug.

First, the Ninja must have LINE-level audio input. You didn't mention which Sennheiser receivers you are using, but they must be switched to line-level output.

You need a "stereo break-out" cable. There are plenty of these in a wide variety of different connectors, but strangely not any that I could find with 3.5mm on all ends.

You could use something like a http://hosatech.com/product/ymm-261/ and a pair of http://hosatech.com/product/cmm-300/

Or you could take something like a http://hosatech.com/product/cmp-150/ and replace the 1/4 inch TS plugs with 3.5mm TS

But if you cannot switch your unidentified receivers to output line-level, then none of these options will work.

Great answers as always from the pros! Many thanks. I have two G3 series and two 500 series both switchable. Might build one so thanks for the info also found this one at BH for $39.99 and use the mini to xlr cables that came with the kits ...bulky but easy.
