Looks like back-lit dust to me.
But cool pic.

If that is the case then Allen is right, it would have to be that you do not have the aperture ring set to "auto" mode. If you turn the lens to the lowest aperture, I think f/22 on both of those lenses, then click the little button on the lens down to lock the aperture ring into place (the button is normally under the 50mm or 24mm markings on the lens and it has a orange mark on the lens and button that will be aligned when it is set). Then the camera should read the lenses correctly.
Hard trouble deciding whether to post the color or the black and white version. Decided on b&w, but I have equal love for the color. Anyway.
Armisiano, there are a couple of cool tricks you can do when going from color to b&w.
my favorite is to first change the mode of the photo to cmyk, go into the channels pallet, click on the black channel, select all, then copy. Then undo until you get back to your original RGB and paste. You now have a black and white layer that you can use to enhance shadows or highlights (depending on your blending mode) and with the layer mask paint out what you don't want. It's a great way to get perfect natural contrast with no filters or adjustment layers. And, since it's on its own layer, you can tweak it.
I also do the same with the channels in RGB pick one at a time, copy and paste them, name them so you remember what is what, and then blend until your heart's content. You are basically blending the layers of monocrhromatics, each from its color channel.
The possibilities are endless.
Thanks for the tip. On a completely different note: did'ya like the picture? lol

I really like this one before my browser lets me see the trees. For me, the trees subtract from my viewing pleasure. What do you think?HDR Tower
