Nikon User Thread

OK, well here we go with some raw uncorrected versions of the Nikon 70-210mm 4.0-5.6 lens. It's got some nice reach, solid DOF, and I think it is a pretty nice overall performer. The images it gives aren't as sharp as some of the other pieces of glass, but this is a $150 lens. With a little touch up in Photoshop this lens can really shine. I like this piece of glass and wont upgrade it until I can get the 2.8 VR version. Here are some examples from this lens...

OK, just some uncorrected stuff to ponder over, but should show this lens' strengths and weaknesses. With any fixing in Photoshop this lens is nice...

I hate all of you... I'm taking my 210mm out when I get home and I'm going bee hunting and if I get stung... well then it's all Rapier's fault!

i took your original and shrpened the trees a bit more and made the clouds more contrasty. i also got the pink transition between the orange and blue sky to come out. whaddaya think?
