Hm, I didnt re-crop. Don´t you notice that the lines of the building are totally different? It doesn´t lean to the left now anymore. I tried to let it stand straight into the sky. I transformed it.

Re cropping would have done that, provided you rebuilt the areas that came out of video from the rotation.

I noticed. There is a small degree of tiling on the clouds to the left. Great job rebuilding it though.

Thought I should share this photo of a really good kid that races bmx. Tell me what you think of the photo. Used the Nikon D70s Sigma 70-300 and Nikon SB-600 on wireless!

Great focus on this Adam. How tight was the original shot? I'm guessing you did some cropping to get it framed up right? What axis did you have your flash at?

Great work on the HDR Bayne! I didn't crop at all. I only grabbed the outside of the image and inversed it to do a border so I can do the name thing.

Exif for the Photo:
ExposureTime : 1/400Sec
F Stop : F5.6
Focal Length : 120mm

I also used Auto Focus Continuous to get this shot. The D70s isn't all the great with the focus, but it does the job.

The flash head was at about a 45 degree angle. Give or take a few...

Here is the original:

I meant was the flash remote, or was it camera mounted? Sorry I meant axis as in, in relation to the camera, since the harsh shadow seems to be coming in from his right side...

What is your method of exposing, using the speedlight? I know their are lots of different ways of going about finding the right shooting setup, using a flash...

Well it depends on what I am shooting. If it is action I try to shoot at a higher shutter speed like 1/400 to 1/500 and have the flash set to full or whatever I feel that it exposes right! But then again the slower shutter speed lets more light in so I try to do that for head shots and stuff like that!

Just getting back into photography after taking a few classes in high school - anyways just got a d70 in the mail so here's a few I fired off of the dogs testing it all out. Would love some criticism - havent shot anything in a while (or digital ever).

Those are cool shots man! I might have went with the f8 or f11 'who cares aperture' for the first one, no reason to blur that cute nose but other than that they are all fun shots.

Now the trick is to capture him mid flight catching a frisbee. Then you'll be in business!

Nice! Love the eye light, really adds depth to her "look."

heres my first postable image from my newly acquired D80. More to come.

alvarez - the real trick will be teaching him to catch a frisbee... Thanks though - yeah I wouldve gone for more depth of field but just left it shallow and used the high shutter speed to my advantage as the dogs did not want to sit still - just happened to catch Eli (the first one) on a short break. Glad you enjoyed them.

nice looking headshot alvarez - seems to do a nice job of being a headshot but the location makes it still interesting as a photograph outside of serving its job as a great headshot.

I like the door knocker invision - lots of nice texture and i think the contrast between the flame and the darker side of the knocker gives it a really deep dark mood.
