This is like the department store telescopes with 50mm diameter objective rated at 450x . Give me a superzoom with constant F2.8 20-600mm eqiv. lens and 4K UHD , not F3.8-F10 24-4800mm eqiv lens and 1080p.

It had better have the world's best image stabilizer to get any kind of results at 4800mm equivalent. That's hard to steady even on a massive tripod. And f/10, really?

As to the Walmart telescope, where else can you get a 600mm lens for 40 bucks? The reviewers all seemed to like it, at least.

Yeah, the 4K UHD FZ300 with constant F2.8 25-600mm eqiv is the best small sensor superzoom and very close to the 20-600mm eqiv spec I was looking for.

20mm is rather unrealistically wide to expect on a super zoom bridge camera.

I have an older Nikon P500 superzoom with 22.5-810mm eqiv zoom so 20-600 is not that far off.
