Bottom line...non ai cannot be used on any digital SLR..IE D40, D50, D70..etc. Otherwise if you need to put it on a 35mm adaptor...it doesn't matter. In fact the nons and older lenses have better glass and is made in Japan and not in Thailand. Non Ai's are not regulated with 35mm adaptors because they don't need any electronic focusing.
