Nikon macro lens reccomendation?

I want to get a Nikon lens that will allow extreme closeup work for my 35mm adapter but don't want to spend a lot of cash. Any recommendations from users?

What's a lot of cash? And, what kinda length you talkin?

I use a Nikon 105mm Macro that does a fine job, IMO. But, that might not be long enough for what you're doing.

I'm talking more like 55mm or so. Not a lot of cash is around the $100 mark.

Its a Macro 2.8 55mm Nikon for 99.00 still no bids...
