Nikon COOLPIX P1000 4K 24-3000mm !

For shooting sports at night use something like a full frame Sony A9 with 70-200mm F2.8. The P1000 has a 4.3-539mm F2.8-F8 (24-3000mm eqiv. ) lens that needs daylight like this HDR shot.
Nikon Coolpix P1000 Fusion of 3 shots made with the automatic bracket of the exposure in the room.
The Union of the 3 jpg was performed with Adobe Camera Raw. Exif: Raw, opening priority, 1/125 s, f / 5, iso100, 24 mm

At ISO high I think it is best not to go beyond 1600, in that it can be set as a value from 100 to 400 or from 100 to 800 and no further in automatic menus. The maximum limit of the machine is still 6400.

Videos Find them amazing, the 4K United at extreme zoom is an excellent combination to make very creative filming and truly never seen before. Even being able to resume and observe animals with such high magnification is really exciting and in my opinion it is worth the cost of the camera alone.

Battery Length is very good, I took about 500 photos and a dozen videos in about 4 hours, using very often the display display, before they dump.

I would like to see an indoor shot of filming someone at 12 to 24 feet with just indoor lighting like daylight florescent lighting and an outside interview of someone,,, hopefully in 4K. Also, would like to see someone taking video and photos of a soccer or football game during daylight hours and evening hours.

Since the lens is a 4.3-539mm F2.8-F8 lens you would have to stay at the 4.3mm/24mm eqiv F2.8 setting in low light. The Tamron 16-300mm F3.5-F6.3 for APS-C cameras and the Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-F6.3 for full frame also would not be good in low light at the long end.

"Thanks to Franceschi Paolo who reminded me of these test images taken right before climbers started climbing....

I'm really impressed with what you can pick up and from what distance with this car...

Nikon Coolpix P1000... from 24 to 3000 mm"

Nikon coolpixp1000 at 3000 mm vs Nikon d850+tamron150- 600 g2+ritaglio to get to a similar shot.

Today an interesting test with distant subjects at the oasis oasis of torrire together with friend Davide Quarenghi.

Below you can find some photos with its magnification to verify the detail. All taken at f / 8 at the priority of diaphragm and iso automatic. The Images Are all without post production and I used the jpg directly out of cameras.

Personal Experience: 3000 mm the wins.
To achieve the same magnification and inquadrataura of P1000 a file of the d850 must be cropped or enlarged ricampionando. Cropping remains a file of about 2 megapixels of poor quality. It goes slightly better ricampionando (like in the photos below).

The High advantage of P1000 on the long-term focal points is reduced as the focal focal point decreases... and the d850 and tamron provide a much higher detail.
But on distant subjects, the P1000 is incredibly and definitely sharper.

Speaking at most of the focal points, respectively 3000 mm for P1000 and 600 mm for d850+tamron, the first is definitely more manageable and easy to handle than the second one. With the rarely the point of fire is wrong, which is what happens with d850+tamron.
Even the P1000 5 stop stabilizer really does a great job allowing you to snap free at times unimaginable. I have a discrete percentage of shots without micromosso at 3000 mm and 1/50 s.

The is equipped with an electronic zoom that is piloted through levers and is therefore less rapid than that manual of 150-600 and it is harder to correct the frame and / or chase a moving subject. However, in our help there is a button next to the zoom lever that quickly returns back and forth in the focus set to better locate the subject. Electronic Zoom is instead an advantage for videos since scrolling is much more fluid than what we can do by manually rotating the cap on 150-600 or on other zoom optics.

In Pursuit of moving subjects wins by far the d850 equipped with a continuous autofocus definitely more performing and especially in gusts and during zoom does not obscure the eye as it happens on the P1000.

Other Considerations:
Making a comparison of focal parity (150-600 mm equivalent) the P1000 is in advantage. In fact, 150 mm may take f / 4, while tamron g2 to f / 5 and 600 mm may take f / 5 instead of f / 6.3 of tamron. This allows the P1000 to take free hand and equal focal points with faster safety times or lower iso than d850+tamron.
However, the depth of the field is very different. In fact the 150-600 equiv. On the p1000 they are physically of the 27-108 mm that have a much greater depth of field.
A limit of P1000 is instead the diaphragm that can be closed at maximum to f / 8 while you can reach f / 40 using the combination 600. Combination.

Hands-on preview of the Nikon P1000 with the insane 24-3000mm lens. Full review coming soon. Basically a quick video of my first impression a few hours after the delivery, unfortunately due to overcast sunset, lighting conditions were less the favourable to shoot, so most clips are at iso 800 or more.

My P1000 must have had zoom mic setting on and distorted the audio but the stills are great at 2400mm eqiv. handheld. NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle winner and National Record Holder at 201 mph , Hector Arana Jr shot yesterday at the NHRA Dodge Nationals in PA :
