Nikon 80-200 F2.8 Push Pull?

It's a matter of preference. The glass and construction is very similar besides the zoom/focus rings. I personally hate one-touch lenses, but only because I like separate rings. I've used both versions of the 80-200 and there's no difference in image quality. The one thing I hated the most was that the zoom ring wasn't tight enough and would slide on its own if the lens wasn't level. That'd be something to check into before buying (if it's used).

I read some reviews about the lens. The lens slip seems to be a huge problem, but at this point in time I think it is whatever I can get my hands on. Another thing, if the lens is dirty internally when you push or pull the lens doesn't that blow air towards the sensor? I don't like that. I am need of a zoom and I really don't want to buy anything slower than a 3.5, but if I have too ::shrugs shoulders::. Anyone have any opinions on some lenses other than this that are good with low light? New Nikon 70-300 VR (i know its slow, but I need a zoom)?
