Nikon 50mm 1.8

This lens, although fabulous on my D40 and D80, is utterly useless with a FF unit, as any change in focus seems to nudge the aperture blades and cause image flicker. This is not a problem and does not seem to happen when wide open, but stop down even once and it gets ugly fast.

this is of course the modern lens, not the older, more reliable ones. AVOID this lens at all costs if you want to use it with a 35mm adapter setup, unless, of course, you dont need to pull focus on the shot.

The good news is i just got a 50mm Ai-s as well as a 24mm for dirt cheap, and am adding a 100mm to round out the SGblade/EX-1 lens kit, so this lens will have to stay where it belongs, in the "Still" case.

I think your lens is defective. I have the same lens (also new) and it doesn't do that on a rack focus.
