Nikon 24mm 1.4?

I found a Nikon 24mm 1.4 at a local camera shop for $190(used) but I can't find any information regarding this lens period. Google'd it, searched forums, nothiong. Anyone have any experience with this lens? Good, bad? Worth $190?
 
The fastest 24mm nikon made was a F2. Can you post a picture of this lens? Is it a nikon brand or nikon mount?
 
Maybe you mis-read the lens? Does it say: Nikkor 24mm 1:4? or Nikkor 24mm 1: 1.4?

Was it for a nikon range finder camera or slr?

Unless you found a Nikkor 28mm f1.4 for $190 (which goes for around $1,800 or more used) dont buy it untill you know exactly what it is and what it is worth.
 
I don't have a picture of it but I will be going back next week, possibly tomorrow to check it out again. It was definitely a Nikon brand lens though.

I was thinking that I possibly misread it too. It's not a 28 and it may have said 24 1:4. It wasn't on a camera but I'm pretty sure it was for an older SLR camera and not a range finder. If they're open tomorrow I will be back and post more information.

I wasn't sure if maybe it was some terrible lens that they just quit making and that's why I couldn't find any information on it. Thanks for the information.

Don't know why I remembered it so incorrectly but the lens I looked at was a 24mm 2.8. Anyone using this lens? Is $199 a good deal for a decent used 24 2.8? Also, there was a 24mm f2 there as well for $250. Any info would be great. Trying to get a pretty good variety of primes for a Brevis.

I have that lens for my Nikon FM2. Good Lens, very little distotion except at edges which is to be expected that wide. Very sharp. i aid about $115 on ebay for a pristine example

thanks for the input. do you use an adapter? if so, any opinions about the 2.8 in regards to light loss and whatever issues you've had. I've read a lot about the 28mm lenses but not as much about the 24s. Just trying to decided if I should spend the extra money on the 2 or just go with the 2.8.
