Nikkor 400mm f/2.8 support advice?

I'm wondering how anyone would mount a Nikkor 400mm f/2.8 lens on an AF100A without breaking the camera.

I have the movcam baseplate and I was wondering what else would I need to make it work. I'm hoping to take out in the field one day and shoot wildlife with it.

Any suggestions is well appreciated!

Ah! How simple. I'll give it a try.

And since you're in an answering mood, is there a way I could attach the tripod collar to the rails?
