ok. I have read several forums about making a night video. but nowI ask your help. I will have to shoot some scenes at nigth. I will do it in the early morning, 4-5 o'clock.
now I would like to ask that what kind of effects I should use.
I mean effects or layer effects, and which of those?

That's kind of like saying...

Ok, I'm going to be driving to work. Which type of needle would be best for my record player.

We have no idea what you are shooting, what effect/style you want, etc.

Try again. I've got no clue what you are really asking.

well, I am not the director, but since my last post, I have found out some tricks and they work very well, so finally I have managed my problem. :)

surf, the question you are asking so so broad and open, I don't know what you are doing or what you want. I think you should find some friends in your area who are into filmmaking and ask them for help; I don't think you know enough to do what you want to do yet.

so, what are you doing them ;-) actually shooting at night and you've found away to light your scenes well enought to avoid low light problems or... you're going to shoot day for night and filter it in post?
Just curious? Cheers

Actually dude, that's not what you said in your first post - but no sweat. What software are you going to use to do this?

If you are making a shooting for a night scene, and you are shooting at 4-5am, then that is the night time still, which is not day for night. I'm start work at my office at 5:30am, I'm pretty familiar with how light it is at 5am, and 4am isn't going to be any brighter.

You offered a poor explanition the sceen you were shooting and what effects you should use. Any post production for a day-for-night would depend on how well the footage was lit. If the DP did his job, it should be as simple as dropping the brightness and a few other small tweeks.

that was a half month ago. now the sun rises later, so i am not gonna shoot it at 4-5am. I am going to shoot it at 6-7am. I will use AE.

and? is your method a secret? layers or filters? Hey I'm just curious? Any chance you'll post some screen shots of before and after?

ok, I will post some, but I am not home at the moment. as soon as I arrive home I will post some screenshots

so this original pic. was not made for a night video, but, I tryed everythig. At this light I could make clear bluebox, so it was very light. so this was only a test. it is not gonna be very dark, just darker, but if you set the lights right, you can make cool dark. oh, and it was recorded at midday. it was 35c degrees outside.(and 28c inside)

yea, its definitely too bright - to hard to try and do that kind of think on a bright day.
Flat low cloud days are the best for outdoors - indoors you can control if you have plenty of lighting.

what? what do you want? to shoot at night? have you ever tryed to shoot at night? the camera sees nothing. -oh I am wrong. it sees "big black". you can turn on things like slow color shotter or you can use that infra like thing, or you must have very cool lamps with a socket with 230V but you will never find a socket like this in a big forest. so you should shoot at late evening or early in the morning.
