I got my iphone yesterday, and whilst playing with the app store, I stumbled across this pretty useful tool called 'DoF calculator'. You can probably guess what its for.
You tell it the film your using, Fstop focal disntace, distance to talent etc etc. It tells you the near limit, far limit, total DoF and the hyperfocal distance.
It can do meters or feet, and has settings for all common DSLR cameras and lenses.
Very neat I thought.
On your iphoen go to app store, go to search, put in 'calculator' and its third or fourth down. it cost me £1.19 to download.
You might be able to do this on the ipod touch, im not sure what the deal is with appstore and the touch...
