Nice small screening room in LA?

Hi everyone,

As some of you might know, every year we host the Mayday 24-hour film contest here in LA. The contest is followed by a "nominating convention" where we screen all completed films and select the 12 that will go to the actual screening in June. Unfortunately, the contest has grown a bit and we can't fit the nominating screening in our office anymore! So we need some place to do it.

We need to seat 30-50 people comfortably for 3-4 hours on a weekday night. We have very limited funds available. We'd be more than happy to advertise whoever can help us out as a sponsor!

LA center studios has a 40 seat theater at $250/hour. and you can easily negotiate then down because it gets used so infrequently. some people have gotten it for free because they used it mid-day during the week and no extra staff was required.

Thanks, I'll check that out tomorrow. I wouldn't mind coming up there and having a chat with you anyway, see what you have going on. I like your philosophy of filmmaking.
