nice image in FCP, but washed out in export

I've tried searching everywhere for a solution to this but I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm working with HVX footage and when I export it to quicktime, most of the clips in the sequence become washed out, gain a bit of red color in certain areas, and/or become brighter. First, I thought this was due to the computer display, but after I brought it into DVD Studio Pro and created the DVD, the image looked the exact same way on my TV. Also, I had color corrected using the same TV and the image looked perfectly fine there.

I've tried experimenting with different settings. I tried compensating for the changes before exporting from FCP and by applying filters in Compressor, but it still never looks the same. I know there's a recent thread about the gamma issue with Quicktime, so I tried the solution presented there (changing the gamma correction in FCP's System Settings) but that still didn't do anything.

What's weird is that I put the DVD into a different computer (a PC) and it looked the way it's supposed to. So, I'm not sure why it looks so bad on my computer and TV.

I've never had this problem in the past, but I didn't have FCP 6, Quicktime 7.2 and wasn't working with HD back then either. I'm sure it probably had to do with the Quicktime update. Does anyone know of anything else that can be done? Has this problem been figured out yet or am I just overlooking something?

Inside Quicktime 7.2 prefs, there's a new option on the general prefs:

'Enable Final Cut Studio color compatability'

Click this and your QT's will look the same as in FCP

I tried that too. It makes the footage a bit darker, but it still doesn't look the same. It still looks washed out and bright.

In FCP, under System Settings/Playback Control there's a setting for Gamma Correction.

Set this on accurate at the same time as the 'Enable Final Cut Studio color compatability' in the QT player.

Then you'll be looking at both with a broadcast gamma.

I'm pretty sure I did that too, but I'll give it another try. Any other options or setting suggestions, whether it's in FCP, Quicktime, Compressor or DVDSP?

I think I figured it out.

I went to Sequence Settings, then to the Video Processing tab, and selected "Render all YUV material in high-precision YUV." After a long render, now the footage in Quicktime matches what's in FCP.
