Nice battery for night shoot

Just letting people know I picked up a Duracell Powerpack 600 (about $140) and it was awesome for outdoor shooting at night. I powered a 1000 LED and another 500 LED for several hours. I had another 500 LED with a Duracell PowerSource Mobile 100 but they discontinued that one (love it). I also had a few 160 LED camera lights I used for highlights.

I was very concerned about night shooting but with a combination of these batteries and these cheap LED's the deep woods are accessable at night.

One thing to consider is if the inverter is a full sine wave, or modified sine wave. Most inexpensive inverters are the latter and they can cause problems with some equipment. Most gear will run on modified sine wave power, but it may cause noise and or premature failure of your equipment.

Of course. Drops $30 the week after I buy one :(

BTW, it has jumper cables so you can jump your car too

If your bought it from Amazon, they'll refund you the price difference within 30 days of purchase. I'd say $30 is worth the phone call.

This is great for powering strobes, and does have a pure sine wave inverter. Not sure about longevity when powering LEDs, but it ought to last a few hours: http://www.paulcbuff.com/vm120.php

I'm in the market for LEDs but I'm researching for the best recommendations. I'm curious what types of LED did you end up using with the batter power? I'm also interested in possibly getting the Duracell for myself. How long does it need to be charged up?

I just have the cheapo 500 LED and 1000 LEDs from Ebay. I think it took about a day to charge it up from scratch. I think I was shooting for about four hours. I turned some off between takes of course. Everything was still going when I packed up.

BTW back up to $149.95
