NFR software

sorry for the typo, I mean NFR software.

So...

I responded to a craigslist ad for a flash web job, and the guy responded to my price saying that he couldn't really afford it, but worked for autodesk, and was willing to trade the website for an NFR copy of 3ds max or maya.

Does anyone know the restrictions on this software? I'd be willing to take the software and sell it, considering its at least 1k over my bid, but obviously they don't want me to do that (not for resale).

Should I care? Are NFR copies the same as regular copies? Does anyone know how this ish works?

It works just the same as the regular program, but it means you aren't able to upgrade it. At least, that what it means from my experience.

I have some NFR copies of software and when I start them up they are clearly displayed as NFR. This doesn't bother me because I don't need support etc, but might cause a problem for someone who pays for them and wants to call autodesk for help.
