NFL 2007-2008 Thread

I'd like to once again thank Chiefs GM Carl Petersen. His 10-year plan to bring a Super Bowl championship to Kansas City is now in year 19 and everything's looking up! Because we're already at the bottom.

The Leafs are a class organization and I have a lot of respect for them.

My girlfriend and I are huge Wild fans. We're really looking forward to this season. If Gaborik stays healthy, I think he'll score 50 this year (the same number that Boogaard might KO :happy:).

I don't dislike the Stars as much as most people around here do. I hate Norm Green, though.

The way it works here in Canada is that if your not a Leafs fan then you absolutely dispise them for some reason, its really odd. Montreal, Ottawa, Calagary, Edmonton and Vancouver fans hate the Leafs, its pretty funny.

Yeah, Gaborik has ran into some bad luck the past couple of seasons, if he stays healthy watch out for him and Demitra. I used to watch Demitra play years ago when he was in the AHL, extremely talented. I think the Wild made the right choice by trading Fernandez and going with Backstrom, he should have a great year. Theres something about Finish goalies, the Leafs got Toskala this year from San Jose and I cannot wait to see him play.

It must have sucked when the North Stars left and then they win the Cup in Dallas. Also Mike Modano is awesome and extremely classy player, always liked him.

We should start an NHL thread.

That kind of thing always seems to happen here. David Ortiz goes to Boston, becomes a superstar and wins a title. Kevin Garnett goes to Boston, he'll probably win a title. Randy Moss goes to New England. I see a title in his future. The Lakers moved to LA. Titles all over the place.

Modano kicks ass, by the way.

Look at all the southern franchises now too, of all places in the States thats screams hockey its Minnesota and they didn't have a team for years. That is weird. The Leafs have Jason Blake and Johnny Pohl our roster, both Minnesota natives. Also wasn't Coach Gordon Bombay from Minnesota? :)

Man I am way jealous. I have been a die hard Bronco fan since the year of the Orange Crush...when they got crushed in Superbowl XII against the Cowboys and I have never been to Mile High stadium.

But have fun. Their low scoring is getting me worried. Though I know they have tons of potential.

Going to the Denver game in Oakland, Dec. 2nd. Should be a good time. As long as I plan to wear body armor.
 
Titans, baby. Probably will only be a mediocre year, but they played the Colts tough. I just wish the Colts weren't in our division. It's the AFC South, for crying out loud! Why can't they actually get the regions straight...
