Next for Panasonic HVX Cameras and canon 5/7D

[abelmn2000]

Does anyone know what is next for Panasonic cameras? what will replace HVX200? is Panasonic working on 2K or 3K cameras?

same question for canon 7 and 5D: is canon working on 2K and + cameras?

thanks.

This isn't a replacement for the HVX200/HPX170/HMC150... it's in a class all unto itself that will be occupied to one degree or another by Sony's equivalent that they announced and the Red Scarlet. But you asked about 2k/3k cameras, so here you go.

Thanks man.
I am in the process of buying a camera and looking around and pondering on what's available and what's to come.
Cheers!

there might be a new Canon 60D, which might have better video technology.

Panasonic is now taking orders on the New 3D camera which looks like the Hvx model must give 1000 dollars down made to order and its 21000 ships this year sometime
