News clips?

You know how some of those films (Zombies, World War One, Virus films etc...) starts out showing news clips of war, riots etc..... I need to do something like that but only need one minute of clips max. Any idea on how to do this? I check Video Blocks but they didn't have anything of interest. I'm wanting to show that a virus has started for the Zombie Holocaust. Thanks

Maybe it would be a bit "cliché" in that situation?

If you start with that idea and try to shape it differently, you could always use some shots of deserted place, slider/dolly shots. Some of these shots in places with radio turned on playing messages about that subject. Some other places like a grocery with a tv displaying an offline image:


Otherwise, trying to find some material that could be used as an intro would be hard not to be similar to World War Z opening sequence.
That's how I'd do it, to make it "slightly" different from other films.

That was only one of hundreds of clips that I gave links to. Most are $40 or less. Need to use the sort by price option to get from low to high. You were viewing the most expensive clips available.

That's more affordable then. Depending on the budget, that would be a good solution.
Otherwise, having 2-3 actors on greenscreen and some composition in After Effects would also be a good trick: make your own news. Different background, channel name and overlays. You're having them saying what you need the viewer to hear. Would work also, but it'd be more cliché.

Pond5 is a good resource. Do a search on there for 'apocalyptic'. Lots of cool stuff, reasonably priced.
