newbie tripod question, please help.

ok, so i'm a noob, i'd appriciate if no one laughed at me haha. I'm looking at purchasing a tripod on ebay as i'm on a tight budget but what i want to know is how do i know if teh dvx100b will mount properly to the tripod? Is there a certain size threading i should be looking for or are they generally the same? Sorry for the dumb question, but i don't have the camera yet (ordered it today) and want to order a tripod asap. Thanks in advance!

Go with a Bogen 501 head (3433) it is the best head for that camera for the money (less than $150). Nearly all of the professionals I work with use it.

For the tripod, that really is a matter of preference. Unlike the video head, I don't know two professionals that use the same sticks. Find something sturdy in your price range (I'd also recommend a Bogen Product) and go for it.
