Newbie Needs Help

I am in need of helpin filming my first shots. I want it to be in 24p, but I am not getting the viewfinder results I want. Basically, pale yellows are coming up orange. Not to sound nieve, but could I have some general settings that will give me some pleasant results the first time out? Thanks!
 
I hate to throw out the obvious question, but are you white balancing? If so, my apologies... what settings are you using currently?
