NEWBIE HERE: DIY Dolly ready made wheel kit Question

Hello guys. My names is Kate. I am new here and very new to filming.
My son is looking to build me a dolly and he came across some ready made
do it yourself dolly wheel assemblies on another post here on dvxuser.

My question is, what would be the advantages of having a set of the swiveling wheels
over the standard wheels?

From a DYI perspective, they are a little more forgiving on alignment so long as you maintain proper spacing. They also allow the dolly to navigate curved runs.
If all you plan to do is straight track/runs and are very conscious to align them properly you can get away with the fixed standard wheel sets.
 
Thanks Crafters. So I just got the wheel set in the mail today. They look pretty easy to install.
I got wood, screws, and PVC tube from Home Depot.
Now I get to work. I have a shoot next week and I am very excited to try out the dolly. :)
