I'm trying to render out a video right now, but can't seem to figure out the right codec to use. I want to get the smallest file size with the best image quality. Any suggestions?
Hi Steve,
You need to be a bit more specific as to what delivery method you intend. Web? DVD? Youtube? Export to another application? I assume by export, you are referring to the 'export movie' option. Have you also looked at the Adobe Media Encoder (also on the export menu)? It might provide you with a bit more structure along with presets to get you started.

I am actually trying to render out a video for youtube. I tried the Adobe Media Encoder but everything I tried turned out to be really junky quality, or way to big of file size for youtube. So far the best one I have found was the h.264 codec. Anyways, thats basically my dilemma.
I will definitely give that a try. Although since it is HD, I don't think I should render
it in full quality, since I'm pretty sure Windows Movie Maker doesn't support HD.
Thanks for the advice!
