ok here is the situation. i will be shooting a spot for my parents restuarant business. i will be shooting w/ the dvx100a. could i just get a boom mic and record straight into the camera? if so, what program to use so i can sync it up with the video? i will be cutting on a 2.0ghz dual g5. will i be able to import audio straight from the camera, or would i have to go through some other process? thanks.

Have something that clicks, or makes some other kind of sudden loud noise in sync with a visual eg. a clap board.

If you're already recording with the DVX100a and doing the audio with that, isn't it already synced up?

Aaron--what are you talking about? Not trying to make you stick out like a sore thumb, my friend, but if you plug the mic into the camera it will record and playback in-sync with the video...

Does this answer your question?
