Howdy folks.

My name is Kyle and I'm new around these parts.

I'm not sure why I've been typing these last couple sentences like a cowboy but let's just roll with it shall we?

Anyways. I've stopped by this forum a time or two in the past while using the awesome power of google to find information I need on whatever various topic but I finally decided to sign up with the purchase of my DVX-100B.

I went to the one year film making program at the Los Angeles "campus" of the New York Film Academy (a.k.a. fake film school) and we used the DVX a lot there and it seemed the logical choice when making a purchase so I figured what the hey.

Anyways...I'm shooting a feature this summer that am currently in the midst of writing. It's called Prombies and it will rock your face clean off.

Anything else you want to know just ask. In the meantime it's a pleasure to meet all of you and I'm looking forward to making my contribution here.

Thanks,

Kyle

Best of luck with the film Do you have a synopsis?

I am gearing up to shoot a film first quarter of 2009. So nice to see someone else developing a feature.

Welcome aboard my friend. You'll soon find that any questions you may have regarding just about anything filmmaking, can be answered here. You've come to the right place.

And on another note, finally somebody new actually posted there "hello" post in the proper place.

Welcome, you will find this to be a great community of kind, helpful people. Best of luck to you and if you ever need anything, feel free to ask!

 Cheers,

or we will come to your house, kick down your door, and beat you within an inch of your life.

welcome aboard.

Some, like myself, prefer to park a nondescript Chevrolet van outside your house and do standard observations for a day or two before snatching you up off the street and taking you to the basement of our secret DVXUser Club where we submit you to hours of painful Chinese water torture. After that we tie you to a chair and force you to watch a slideshow of suggestive Como avatars while blasting ridiculous screaching noises from a 5.1 Dolby Digital Sound System. But don't worry, you'll be home before dinner.

Moral of this story: search!

Cool, welcome!

Does your "Prombies" have anything to do with this project?

Nope. But it's pretty interesting the things we have in common.

I just thought prom and zombies. How can I mix them. ( I was out to dinner during our latest prom season in town and all the prom kids got my mind going.)

Apparently I'm not the only genius on this site. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Didn't some UN Human-Rights department come down on us, for doing that? I think we had to shelve that particular part of the program...
