Attached is a filtered copy, (just text), of an article from NAB365 News published Thursday June 19, 2008. Just to give a little more background than a website address. This is a real boon to those of us who want to distribute outside the box of the Hollywood machine. The article says they will only screen 4 each week and that they will scour festivals and other websites for candidates selected by an editorial board, sounds... big brother type if it is editorial content that is the criteria.
Seems like a natural home for shorts looking for a global audience as long as you are pc according to YOUTUBE editorial staff. What ever happened to:
"a good story, well told"?

maybe pc regarding copyrighted stuff. they are under the gun for carrying a lot of pirated copyrighted material. but it still sounds like a nice resource for getting seen.
 
I just got my first issue of Indie Slate magazine in the mail today, and indeed there is a feature article in the magazine about this, looks to be very interesting. It sure would be nice if there was a way for shorts to get seen more, and maybe get some revenue to the filmmaker to recoup at least some of the production costs.
