New Year's resolution(s)

Tom Marshall

Actor!!!!!!
Hey guys... what's your New Year resolution?

Mine is to quit my job and freelance within the next 3 to 4 months so that I can really pursue this filmmaking / acting stuff...

That and get in shape...

1. Finish writing and shooting my feature on the XL2.
2. After #1 is complete, shoot everything else from then on, on film! :2vrolijk_08:

You're right, and I know that... it's a discipline area for me.

It's a laziness thing. Staying healthy takes dedication. It's hard

It's a lot easier to sit on your ass and eat pizza than it is to make sacrifices and save the glutton for reward time

-

Tell ya what Brice

Ill loan you my working out dedication and you give me some of your filmmaking energy

-

Mine's the same as last year... drink more.

Red red wine ........

Stay close to me-e-e-e-e

To do more and to take less.

Oh, and exercise too. The metabolism ain't what it use to be and neither is my gut. :(

Quit smoking

*lights a cigarette to enjoy the final days of it*

:Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

The other night my wife and i were at a pizza parlor eating some pie and sharing a bottle of Schiraz and she said '..like when you used too smoke...'

I had forgotten I used too smoke.

It was the first time I had consciously realized that I had forgotten I used too smoke.

I don't miss it.

1) Make more movies. Actually organize something worth showing of. Pre-prod is my weakest area by far.

2) Work out, but put on weight, not lose it.

3) Good grades... laaaaaame but yeah I need 'em.

4) Get with a certain lady I've had my eye on.

5) Write that screenplay I've been working on for the past 3 years (Family Guy reference, but kind of true also).

6) Church every Sunday. I've been going less and less.

I dont think i will either. And besides the chemical habit, i also realize just the physical habit and schedule. I think the most influental thing is that i smoke the most at work. Being a software dev and video guy in general, rendering and duplicating, exporting and copying, zipping and uploading take so much time and just being a laid back great place im at with work leads me to alot of down time on the internet and outside taking a "smoke break". Will be wierd not having anything to do at all at work and not going outside.

But im on my 4th cigarette today and its already 11:30 so doin good cutting back i think in preperation.

I'm sure you know this, but a lot of the time when you stop an addiction you become addicted to something else. Like a dieter becomes addicted to alcohol... so yeah be careful I guess.

You could attempt to become addicted to something beneficial like exercise.

This seems like an incredibly serious post. I tried to throw in atleast one statement that wasn't serious, and I couldn't think of one.

#1 - No more poo pooing around next year
#2 - Not to have to say #1 on the eve of 2008
#3 - Make something worthwhile
#4 - Get funding to make #3

1) Believe it or not, stop making film or even think about making film for the entire semester
2) Use time gained from #1 to bring grades back up.

Easy... slow down on the drinking.

OK, off to a New Year's party to get hammered.
