Just launched my new portfolio site and demo reel for graduation this week. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Haven't gone through and fixed all the ie bugs yet and the contact page isn't functional as well as the links page is not up yet. Other than those 3 things everything else is up and running. Thanks for the looks and feedback in advance.

Really quick here, you have the technical skills but now you need to focus on the aesthetic/design stuff a bit. Your animation needs to be refine as well, you know how to but the rhythm is off...not there. I can see that from the edit as well, the pace doesn't really match the song and you could cut a lot quicker as well as have a shorter reel. Some obversations:

- The typography on your site is all over the place. Too many sizes and kinda all over the place. I'm not a big fan of Bauhaus either since it's somewhat stereotypical and truly overused font. I would at least look at Universal (from which Bauhaus was born) since it has a bit more character and isn't on every computer in the world

- Drop the tutorials and stock clips that everyone notices, i.e. the boxes, the ink stuff on the wall, and there are a few others. Take the techniques and make it your own.

- The edit is lacking, you hang on shots too long & it's not in pace with the music

- Put only your best work in there. Even if the reel will end up only being 30 seconds. Things like the Sunshine Classics piece can be cut down or out altogether. The typography on that piece isn't something you should want to showcase

- Ditch the pulsating thing with some of the shots, it's annoying

Oneinf is spot on, as is usually the case.

I know it is tempting to put as much as you can, but remember that quality, not quantity is best. Clips that look like famous tutorials scream of exactly that, and bring your work down. Be your own creative talent, you certainly have the ability to.

I think your work is great.

I like the colors of your site. I agree with the typography comment made by OneInfini. Explore some other typefaces and see if there's anything that you like that's a bit more subtle.
