new web design - input, critiques?

Ok, I'm trying to redesign my website for like the 2987394th time. I worked all day in photoshop yesterday and this is what I came up with. Any critiques, thoughts, input would be greatly appreciated, thanks:

Looks a bit cheesy to me and reminds me of late 90's angelfire pages.

The buttons would look alot better if you squared the corners instead of rounding them.

I actually like the look of your current website better.

graphic design is torture, i was really excited about this design last night, but now i hate it already, ha. i could really use a video gig right now so i don't have all this free time on my hand.....

I agree about your current site being better.
I like things simple.
Some things I would change:
1) The font you use is fine for the buttons but is a bit much when used for everything.
2) My eye wanders around all the white on your page. I would make the white a darker color and a slightly lighter color for what you want people to actually look at. or keep it all black and possibly use a small border for the things in the middle.
3) there's no pictures! if i'm there to check out your work i might want to see a frame or two before i download the whole shebang.

I actually like the look of your blog a lot more than your site.

good input, thanks. i think you've said what's been in my subconscious for a while but couldn't surface on it's own, ha

i think i'm either going to make some changes to the current design or start from scratch again, but it's safe to say that im not going to use the design that i posted in this thread

that design is a pre-designed wordpress template......( I really need to improve...ha)
