Yea even Think Secret doesn't have this. And what's with the Asian letters on the tag. Makes it look like its being sold at a yard sale or something.

Me thinks this is a dud. although very similar to what reports of the new video ipod will look like.

I got it from a source on the internet.

If you notice the barcode sticker on it, the colorbars are shining through it barely, which is a detail most photoshop noobs would overlook. If its a fake, its a good one.

I'm not saying its necessarily a photoshop fake but rather i think its some product unreleased in the US that intentionally or unintentionally mimics the style of an apple product.

Look at the type of cabling plugged into the device on the right. It sure ain't a USB 2.0 connection.

Partially obscured by that sticker. That to me does not look like the type of apple engineering I've come to love and own.

There have been a few fakes floating around (here's one)

and I personally won't trust it until the final word from Apple.

Having said that however. If this is indeed what the video ipod ends up looking like I will be quite happy.

The thing that intrigues me about this is that the same site published photos of the 5th generation iPod before it was released and they were dead-on. Plus Apple has an even for Feb. 28th to unveil a "fun new product." I think this might be accurate.

has it been said what website Kai got this photo from?

I don't think it has.

Thinksecret doesn't have this photo in their articles of the new video ipod. which is the site i think you're refering to krestofre.

Nope, I'm not referring to Thinksecret. I've just seen the same picture, from, I assume, the same source, which is the source I sited.

Dang. That was a confusing sentence. :o

Think Secret claims knowledge of a completely new version of the iPod whose main goal in life is video playback.

The new machine will reportedly have a 3.5-inch diagonal display and use a touch screen instead of the current click wheel.

Details concerning capacity of the device and release date aren't yet available, but according to the article release could be as early as late March or early April.

Several sites are popularizing this Flickr photo
103357149_ebe5a6a8c7.jpg

claiming to be a photo of the upcoming full-screen Video iPod.

The photo resembles the leaked 5G iPod photos, but may have simply been inspired by the same photos.

There is significant debate about the part number shown. The part number "M8719Z/A" is the same part number as Mac OS X 10.2 Server, but several people feel it is a "B" not an "8".

(Moved to Page 1 due to popularity/interest, not because of any particular evidence that this is real)
