In response to requests from Sony FX1 and ZR1, HD100 and XH-A1 users, we went to our optics manufacturer and came up with a brand new HD 72mm achromat. It is the most powerful 72mm achromat available anywhere...and they're gorgeous! I would be confident comparing the quality of these to the Century Optics 72mm +3.5 which is less than half the power...and nearly twice the price.
Here's some quick grabs from a bare XH-A1 with and without the bare achromat. You'll see the typical blue/yellow fringing from the XH-A1 (drives me crazy), but you'll also see how clean these achromats are. I'm basically using the achromat as a macro close up filter in these tests, instead of with the adapter.

With the achromat, I was able to get 20mm away, at 70% zoom on the A1!
