You may all have already discovered these and apologies if it's old news, but I have just seen that NewBlueFX have just released two transition effects packs - Art Blends and Motion Blends.
I became a big fan of their Art Effects plugin 'Colorize' when I used it on a music video at the end of last year.
I have looked at the transition demos on the website and there are some crackers in there. I especially like the look of the Roll and Shake transitions in the Motion Blends pack and Color Melt, Halo, Glow and Vivid in the Art Blends pack.
They also have a special offer which gets you both packs PLUS their two effects packs (Motion Effects and Art Effects) for only $199. Not sure how many effects and transitions that gets you in total but it looks like a good deal.
I'm getting closer to the point where my need for After Effects for compositing is being challenged by what I can achieve in Vegas alone. Of course AE is still much more powerful for compositing and Vegas doesn't come close in terms of animation but I am learning more Vegas and forgetting more AE every day!
www.newbluefx.com gets you to the NewBlueFX site.
Anyone using them for real work care to review them?
