New Vegas setting?

I just got Vegas 8.0 hook up on my computer. As I’m setting the file up for my new project I’m asking what should I have the best setting set for?

I’m shooting on the HVX200A – format 720P 24/PN and want the best output.

This is what a friend of mine set it up at (photo below) but I don’t think this is right. When I render a short scene it looked pretty bad.

See that yellow folder on the top right? Click that, point it at one of the files you loaded on the timeline, and Vegas will automatically set the settings properly. You might also want to change from 8-bit to 32bit if you are going to be color correcting. That change will make the timeline slower though and rendering will be much slower. But quality of color will increase a lot.

Yes..but somtimes..Vegas doesnt pick up the feild order correctly. So if you know you shot progressive you might have to change it.
