Hey guys,
I'm new to Vegas as of very recently. Got fed up with the whole Premiere/24p/choppy video issue. Did have one question.....How do you grab a frame? Looked around even on "Help" and didn't see it. Sorry for asking a dumb quesiton. Other than that, everything has been easy to learn because it's standard editing software but has also been better than average. VERY pleased with how it handles 24p! Thanks in advance for the help.

on the top of the preview window (and several other windows) there is an icon that looks like a floppy disk. click that to grab a frame. make sure your preview is set to Best Full.

Thanks MacB. I got it now.

John,
I meant that the things like adding effects, applying trasitions, inserting text, etc. are done the same way as in "standard editing software" but I was trying to say that the results on Vegas are better in my opinion. I'm not knocking Vegas at all. In fact, over the last few hours of working with it here, I'm finding that I like a lot more things with it than with Premiere. I believe I'm through with Adobe as far as video editing goes. (I use Acid too which hopefully makes you happy. :-P)

Anyway, thanks guys.

Peace

I not going to get upset if you knock it; I'm not emotionally tied to it (Like say a MAC / FCP user). I just wasn't sure what you meant? But you could of just said "It just makes perfect sense how FX are applied."

:cheesy:

Thanks Edweirdo,
Another hour goes by and I get happier by the minute. I'll definitely check out the forums. Maybe I can find how to reverse audio without using Acid (hint hint).

John,
Gotcha. I have the gift of brevity and should use it more often. I'll work on that. LOL.

Thanks again guys,

~Bryan

I hate to be a nuisance, but I'm actually having trouble finding that. Something tells me I should have started with Vegas 3 years ago. Thanks anyway HorseFilms.
