New User Intro

OK, I searched around and didn't see a "new user, introduce yourself" forum. Most of the forums I am on (all of which are smaller) have one of these, and I just feel like I should introduce myself... I have been doing amateur video since '01, mostly related to current events. I started out with an old Panasonic miniDV cam and a Quicksilver 800/iMovie setup. I sorta dropped out of it for a few years, then in late '07 started doing videos of (mostly) amateur fireworks events with a Panasonic PV-GS 320 and PowerBook G4 1.67/iMovie. I am still using this gear, I have FCE and Studio Pro but the learning curve too great for me to get my head around as of now. That being said, I need to do it, I have hit a brick wall with iMovie/iDVD in terms of what I can do vs what I want to do...

OK, I tried to post an intro that was several paragraphs long, but it looks like the forum removed line breaks? Am I missing something?

Bastar,

Welcome to the forums. Always good to have new members around here! As for your paragraphs, you should be able to just hit enter and start a new line/paragraph. Did you write your post in a word processor and copy it in or something?

Actually, I did it right in the compose box. I then posted it, saw it was all one paragraph, used the edit function to break it out again, previewed and saw it did it again, so I just chopped lots out and posted...
