Hi there,
I am new to letus and 35mm world. I am thinking of getting a Letus Extreme with Canon Mount for $1300 canadian dollars. First of all, I wanted to find out if it's a good deal. It's used.

Also, what lens should I get it and how much are they? I have a canon xh a1 and plan to get ex1 in near future.

Any help would be greatly appreciate it.
 
the letus extreme has been out for a while so that price isn't the best price I've seen before..

for lenses, it all depends on what you want, but I would stay with Canon or Nikon.
 
The price is OK they go for around $900 + used (US) so $1100 CDN+. Is it the FD or EOS mount? If it is FD they are cheap and easy. EOS don't have a aperture ring and cost more. The EOS you need to set the f-stop on a EOS camera and then stick the lens back on the LEX (bit of a pain) I just have the EOS mount but I use Contax Zeiss primes with an adapter. It's not a bad way to go for cheap sharp glass.

For sizes a 50mm is a must then higher and lower, say 85mm and a 28mm. Then keep collecting till you have them all;)

I personally recommend Zeiss ZF prime lenses (they're Nikon mount) in addition to the Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 zoom and the Nikon 17-35 f/2.8 zoom.

In USD that adapter is around $1000, so it's pretty spot on. I'd also recommend looking into support gear. If you're interested in an Elite instead of a Extreme... let me know. I have a friend wanting to sell his for around the 900 USD range.
 
900 US for an elite is half price, that's amazing. I'd be selling mine for 1300 within the next little while.
 
indeed but will i be able to use it with xh a1 that has 72 mm thread

if so what do i need to buy and how much?
