so a friend of mine found an old keystone k 808 ZOOM in his garages and said I could use it. I told him since it was his grandpas I would get it serviced and develop the film already in the camera. I'm now in search of a place that services old cameras and develops 8mm film. I've been doing some research and can't find if this camera shoots regular8 or super8. does anyone know how much 8mm film goes for these day? anything I should know about shooting 8mm film. I'm younger so every video camera I've picked up in my life has been digital. anything I should know about shooting film?

That camera is a regular (Standard) 8mm camera. You can tell if you open it up and there are spools for the film. Super 8mm comes in a self contained plastic cartdrige and doesn't have film spools. I will put a couple of links to avaialble resources, but I am not sure that regular 8mm film is available for purchase anymore.

Here are some links you should contact.

Chambless Cine equipment. If anybody knows where to get regular 8mm film they will know. I think they do service also.

Dwaynes Photo. They should be able to process the film that is in the camera.

thanks a lot I will Check out the provided links. I am hoping the camera isn't in need of service and that it isn't to expensive to buy and develop a reel. wish me luck
