New to 24P, need advice...

I just got a DVX-100a and I'm going to be shooting a short this Saturday. My goal is to distribute to the web (.mov,.mpg), DVD, and VHS.

Should I use the 24P Standard or 24P Advanced mode? (I've read the 24P Advanced mode is better suited for video that is going to be transfered to film.)

Which is better for what I'm doing? Why?

I use FCP4:
What capture & sequence settings should I use for 24p standard? 24p advanced?

doesn't matter.... output to web is easy and can be in any format you want really.

read this page all the way through and you'll save yourself literally hours and hours of frustration and asking reduntant questions.

For what it's worth, I use 24PA for everything these days.

I've read some of that all ready, but you're right I need to read it all and pay closer attention to it. I own a VX1000. Now my B-Camera. So, I'm new to the ins&outs of 24p.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
