Hey, I was looking for a photo of Profeel and couldn't find one, but I did find that Don Wiss, the guy who took all those magnificent photos of the Brooklyn camera stores, has made another photo album, this time of Manhattan camera stores.

There are also photos of Adorama, Cambridge, Tri-State, all sorts of familiar names. Anybody in NY want to get us a photo of BuyDig and ProFeel? I'm sure we'd all love to see it, and see which store they most resemble.

Buydig is in Northern New Jersey. It is located in an Industrial Park with other businesses. I bought my DVX100 from there this time last year and I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau before I bought anything from them. Everything checked out to be okay and I went ahead and got my camera from them!

In some defense of BuyDig, I bought my Canon consumer (read, no longer worthy) DV cam from them 2 years ago, and was happy with the experience. I have also had many other friends buy from them with no troubles. But I went with an authorized dealer for my DVX.

I haven't heard much bad about buydig either, or profeel. I think they're probably the best-regarded of the gray marketers. That's why I think it'd be interesting to see the storefronts...

I bought a digital camera from buydig about two years ago and don't recall having any problems at all. The camera still works great and I saved $300 or $400 bucks I think. I don't remember what they charged for shipping but it must not have been too bad since I don't remember. I also did not buy any other accessories, just the camera.

ive bought a few things from buydig. I'd say only buy from them if you know it's what you want. Shipping was high, but total cost was still much lower than anyone else. I did get 1 DVX from them (100A) for $3300 free s/h. If someone else matched their price, I'd go with the someone else. But otherwise, sometimes they just cant be beat.
