new spike lee joint

Yeah, I saw the trailer on King Kong. If you go to iTunes and the podcasts they have a four part making of podcast for the movie. Sounds pretty good, but I haven't got a chance to hear all of them.
 
i saw the trailer on tv it kind of reminded me of the trailer BROKEN THAT WAS HERE on dvxuser about a month ago
 
I don't get the whole Spike Lee thing. There are so many filmmakers (big or small) that leave him in the dust.

I think I'd rather just have the joint. It might make some of his stuff more bearable, like a Dead concert.
 
Do The Right Thing, Bamboozled, Clockers, Malcolm X
and more

are all reasons hes a great at what he does
 
Funny, no mention it's a "spike lee joint" through the whole trailer... Because nobody cares about Spike Lee anymore. His day is gone and passed.
 
He actually makes alot of commercials also that are pretty good. I was surprised when I kept seeing his name on the clips on Adcritic.com
 
Love Spike Lee but this one looks pretty bad. She Hate Me is On Demand right now. haven't checked it out yet but i heard its not very good.

I think so many people don't like him because they feel he's racist, which he's not. I'm not sure why he chose to have an all black cast and crew earlier on in his career but I'm sure its not because hes a racist. When I was in film school one of my teachers worked on 4 of his movies. He said the only reason he was allowed was because he was HALF black.

I love every one of his movies especially summer of sam and 25th hour. Can't wait to see this one.

Does anyone know why he calls his movies a "Spike Lee Joint"?
