This is something I found today in a Japanese website, it looks interesting, not sure if will be released in the U.S. anyone knows?
Sony just announced that they will release "Music Video Recorder HDR-MV1" on November 15 in japan, (again, not sure about the U.S. release date and price).
This full HD (1920x1080/30p) compliant video camera is best suited for recording music performance and it is able to record audio in uncompressed linear PCM. When recording, you can select either linear PCM or AAC. It has a 120-degree X-Y stereo microphone built-in to authentically record performances. But this is a dedicated video camera and is not capable of taking still images.
Since it has Wi-Fi and NFC ability, you can post fresh videos you have just taken on SNS services such as Youtube.
1/2.3 Exmor R CMOS image sensor and Carl Zeiss Tessar lens F2.8 with total pixels 16.8 million, effective pixels 8.4 million (16:9) built-in. 2.7inch monitor (0.23 million dots) at the side is not movable.
Size: W116.5 x H70.5 x D27.0mm
Weight: 165g.
