The Screen Actors Guild's negotiating committee voted Wednesday to support a strike authorization vote, a tactic meant to break stalled contract talks with Hollywood studios.

The recommendation, approved 11-2, now goes to the guild's national board for review, and would ultimately need approval of 75 percent of the some 120,000 voting guild members.

Probably not the best time for this with the economy as it is right now...

75% of us need to vote yes for it to happen right? I wonder what will happen.

But the studios really leave us no choice... they don't want us to get jack shhh from the internet as if internet dollars were monopoly money... and if we say ok to that then by X-mas they will push the www like crazy... and we've all see the sick compression they have... super fast downloads and excellent image... the only difference is that not everyone will sit on their computer to watch TV.
