Also there is a new update to Celluloid 1.1 that is needed to use the new ReelPaks. The update is free for all Celluloid users and it adds the ability to apply the Film Looks to:

1) a Track (like Celluloid 1.0)

2) All Selected Events or

3) the Master Video Bus.

So download the latest Celluloid 1.1 too and get more functionality for free.

Note: Please read the ReadMeFirst.htm file that comes in the zip file that you download. It explains that we have changed our installation and we now install all VASST Software products in the \Program Files\VASST folder and NOT in the \Sony\Script Menu folder. Because of this, if you have ReelPak-1 contact us at VASST and we’ll send you a new version. The old version still works with the new Celluloid but if you uninstall it and reinstall it, it will mess up the new ReelPaks and you will have to reinstall them. The new ReelPak-1 avoids this. David - thanks for making these great additions to Vegas, just awesome! Does Ultimate-S include these ReelPak's? If not, is there a group rate for purchasing ReelPak bundles (2 or more)?

Where do I find the update for celluloid? I was looking in the vasst site and I didn't see it, also i have reel pack 1 , how I contact Vasst to get the new version?

Sorry about that, you can get Celluloid from here. Just click the download button at the top of the page and you’ll get the latest version. We made it so that you can download ReelPak-1 from here. It now has a license key.

1. Uninstall both the old Celluloid and ReelPak-1
3. Install the new Celluloid and add your license key
4. Install the new ReelPak-1

After you install RP-1, in Windows go to: Start > All programs > VASST > ReelPak-1 > License Installer and put in your Celluloid key and press Install. That should be it.

The VASST tool didn't have any improvement, but Vegas 6 had some significant improvements, FWIW

Here are my opinions:
REEL PACK 2 NOT AS GOOD AS REEL PACK 1. THE LOOKS ARE NOT TOO COMPLICATED TO GET USING THE COLOR WHEEL. REEL PACK 1 HAS A COMBINATION OF FILTER FOR MANY OF IT'S LOOKS , THIS ONE IT'S JUST MOVING THE COLOR WHEEL WHICH I CAN DO AND GET ALL THE GREENISH AND WARMING LOOKS. NOT VERY IMPRESIVE , I SPECTED BETTER.

I beg to differ, though; most of the looks in all of the ReelPaks (including RP-2) require a combination of effects to achieve. Some are more subtle than others, to be sure.

That having been said, keep in mind that the idea is to achieve the looks as efficiently as possible. That benefits you, the user, because it keeps render time way down.

Any word on when the Vegas 5 version of Ultimate S 2.0 will be available? Also, does Ultimate S include any, or all, of the reel packs? If they are not all included, is there a bulk rate for purchasing all of them at once?

No word on US2 for V5 other than “soon.”

US2 (I believe) comes with some looks functionally called “RP-0,” but not ReelPaks 1-5.

At this time, RPs 1-5 are not offered in a bundle.
