New "Realy" adaper for 2/3 B4 mount

Hmhmh..

If you remember that letus used 50mm Minolta lens as relay for Canon XL1 cam ( 1/3" CCD ) with magnification of x 2, therefore by some matematics; if you put SLR ( or MF ) lens with 50mm ( or 40mm for sure ) as relay for 2/3" CCD, that should work with no problem and no magnification..

The another thing is price of that mount on ebay. It is insane for one peace of modified metal ring.. :)

As I remember, I saw same thing for half of that price ( arround 300€ ).. From srbfilm or something similar.. Google..

Cheers,

d

Yeah, pretty steep price. My Nikon to Zeiss middle format mount was 13 Euros.

I think because of the giant diameter of those lenses you don´t need any magnification.

Frank, Frank.. Cccc

:)

I think diameter of those lenses don't have nothing much with magnification, since you are using only the fragment of projected picture and the other is waste.. it wouldn't be different if you mount MF 50mm lens, SLR 50mm lens or 50mm - 16mm cinema lens ( which still cover 2/3" CCD ).. The problem of using 16mm cinema lens ( Krasnogorsk for instance ) is that those lenses have deeper rear thread and you have glass boundary in front of lens..

So, I don't see much benefit of going MF over SLR lens on 2/3"..

And that is the reason the guy is selling this adapter for the third week with no success..

Beer time..

hmm.... sounds right.
Well my knowledge about optics is limited anyway.
So what do I know - I was just guessing.

beer time, Frank
