I've been working on this project for months and now we finally have something to show for it.
A little background: I'm one of those people who spends a lot of time on the web surfing aimlessly to find information about whatever I feel like at the time. One of my many interests is gadgets and technology so I often end up on one of the thousands of gadget sites that are out there. Unfortunately these sites more or less always falls into one of two categories: superficial plugging ala gizmodo.com where new products are mentioned/plugged without any real testing or opinions being uttered or hard core tech sites that require an enormous level of expertise to understand. Another thing that bugged me was that the videos often featured on these sites were crappy, badly produced and uninformative (what people find interesting about "unboxing" is beyond me).
So, in my frustration I decided to make a site that has what I'm looking for: solid and concise information that is easy to understand and valuable to the viewer. And videos with good production value that informs the people and is easy on the eyes.
After much searching and massive headaches I found a tech expert in Vancouver who was looking for a new outlet and voila: AndNowYouKnow.net was born.
Now we have finally published the first two of many videos on the site for the world to see. The plan is to put out new videos every week to keep it interesting. Now that we have the graphics, format and setup down pat it should be easy to churn them out.
So... what do you guys think? I want some quality feedback from the real experts so I'm turning to the trusted people of DVXuser

PS: I'm currently using Revver to stream the videos because the quality is slightly better than YouTube and there is less trafic on their site. I've also posted the videos on YouTube under GadgetsExplained.
I'm still fighting with compression issues which makes the video uneccesarily dark - the background should be hard white and not that weird greyish colour - but I think I should have that sorted out within the week.
