Hi everyone,

You may know Redrock Microsystems from our micro35 cinema lens adapter.

This is a peak at our new product - code named Redrock Revolution - and an opportunity to participate in our beta program for it. Details can be found at www.redrockmicro.com/_v2/revolution.htm

micro35 cinema lens adapter customers receive a free copy of this program when it is released.

Introducing the Redrock Micro Revolution, a production-quality software-based field monitor that runs on your PC. Revolution is a full resolution field monitor that provides accurate framing, color, and viewing of your live DV or HDV video feeds. In addition Revolution can be used as a low cost “video village” for remote monitoring of video and audio.

Revolution also provides native support for Redrock Micro’s micro35 35mm cinema lens adapter by flipping the image 180 degrees in real-time. Revolution also provides a highly customizable experience with a completely skinnable user interface.

Revolution is a modular system that allows for future add-on Redrock applications such as a direct-to-disk recorder, frame capture, and audio recorder.

Pricing has not yet been set, but will keep in the spirit of Redrock's commitment to the indie filmmaker community - great quality products at revolutionary prices.

Sign up for the beta - you can be the judge of that. :)

Our first goal was to deliver monitor support for the micro35. Then we realized we can deliver a really great product at a reasonable price. So it serves double duty.

I might as well say it -- you'd make a *lot* of friends if you'd make this product run on a Mac. That's got to be the most-requested thing about DV Rack, and they've pretty much said that it's not going to happen anytime soon (i.e., DV Rack on a Mac). If you could make yours mac-compatible, you might pick up a lot of customers who would otherwise have been frustrated...

Wow ... I never saw this one coming from you guys (at least not this soon) ...

I really have to say that your commitment to the Indie Filmmaking community is really beginning to impress me ... I will defintely be buying your adapter when I get the HVX200 ...

Here's to hoping it works on a Mac soon ...

Thanks for all your inovation and support of us Indie Filmmakers ...

oh hell! i was going to sign up for the beta program, but realized a pc is required! guess us 100,000 mac users gotta wait...*hint*hint*

lol ...

maybe total marketshare ... but I think when it comes to our market, I'm sure the Mac user base is larger than the PC one, don't most mac sales go towards the creative professional ...

Macs do rock and FinalCut is one of those very rare killer apps. At the same time, Vegas is great too and Photoshop runs like gangbusters on a PC.

Some people have somewhat seamy and rather embarrassing love affairs with their computers and others, like me, think of them more like a hammer or compound mitre saw. It's just a tool my man.

"I'm a little too right brained to understand what you mean... What is a professional? Or, what is a business? I thought the computer was cute and my student loans paid for it." - typical Mac buyer.

On this website, which you would think would be heavy in heavy favour of the Mac because of its content creation market etc, PC's still equate to 82% of all traffic... so I dont know where all the Mac people are hiding.
