New Premiere and the HVX200

Does anyone know if the new video suite that Adobe is releasing this summer is going to have support for the HVX? I've looked around their website, but have not been able to find out anything about it. I'm hoping it is going to because I'm purchasing an HVX in the near future and Premiere is all I use to edit, so I need that support. I know about CineForm's programs that allow you to use HVX files with Premiere, but that's more programs to buy and it should be integrated into the NLE anyway. If anyone knows if it's going to be in the next upgrade please let me know. Thanks.

As far as I know, no- it won't be natively supported. This is, sadly, also likely true for other progressive HD cams. Premiere likes interlaced and interpolated stuff. It is easier to work with and the technology has been around longer. I doubt they will put this kind of support into such a minor upgrade of the package.

Basically what they will be doing is making a better Bridge and Photoshop- both of which I'm beta testing. They also have some other cool apps that will likely be bundled... Soundbooth (to replace Audition supposedly) and Lightroom for photo touchups.

From what I have heard, After Effects, Encore and Premiere are barely touched.
